A THANK YOU to berryhomespunsprimitives!

I saw on Angie’s blog  http://berryhomespunprimitives.blogspot.com/2012/01/quilt-squares.html  that she purchased some awesome quilt squares – lots of them - and in this box were two pieced quilt tops and they caught my eye…well, being the sweetheart that Angie is she offered them to me…now I was delighted….I think they will make some wonderful items for my show – not sure what just yet but you can be sure they will be made into lots of wonderful items.

I expected a kind of bulky bubble envelope containing these quilt tops…nope…they came in a large box!
So being I was still in the Christmas spirit of OPENING GIFTS…you can imagine how I tore into that thing…oh ya, goodies packed in between the quilts.
Take a look at her generosity…
(FIRST LET ME SAY ONE THING….I TOLD ANGIE I WOULD ONLY ACCEPT THE QUILT TOPS IF SHE WOULD CONSIDER A SWAP…so Angie, your package will be shipped soon!!!!)

And – in between the Two quilt tops were these adorable waxed fruits that she makes….4 bags of them…Pears and Apples!
And – the most perfect Prim Ditty Bag filled with her own grunged candles…..
Gifts

I wasn’t going to open the bags…they were packaged so nice but this morning I thought it best to show them up close. Beautiful job Angie!

That’s all I have for today – I just wanted to get this thank you out to Angie and tell you all to go on over to her blog for a visit…she’s always got some great things to share with us.   http://berryhomespunprimitives.blogspot.com/

Blessings,
Karen

  1. WOW!! Angie was really generous, wasn't she! She is a real sweetheart. Everything looks so prim perfect. By the way, did you make the penny rug the bowl is sitting on? The stitching on those pennies is absolutely perfect--just beautiful. Have a warm day!

  2. Hi Jan...thanks so much and she sure was generous. I'm so anxious to make those quilt tops and make things...hopefully for my show this summer. Not sure what they will be turned into though.

Yes I made the runner - stitched it last July on our trip to Arkansas for a family reunion...fun and easy.
I have tons of this fabric so I'm making all different sizes for my show too!
Please send me your e-mail address...I don't have yours.

  25. WOW!! Thank you Karen and you sweet ladies! I sure wasn't expecting a blog post like that and such wonderful comments!! Makes my heart smile really big! =]

Yes, I had to hunt down a box that they both would fit in. I didn't realize how big they were until I was trying to pack them up.

I thought you might like the pears and apples but I really didn't know about the ditty bag and candles. I was trying to remember if you have some pieces in your home where you could display the candles but if not; you could always tie them together and just set them somewhere. Or sell them at your show, LOL! I like the fruit in the old crock bowl, it looks good there.

I'm glad everything arrived just fine and you like it. Now, I want you to not worry about me. Take care of your orders and other things you need to work on. I don't want you to stress out trying to get a package out to me. I told you that I am fine with one of your beautiful ornaments and I meant it!

Oh, and WOW! I pulled up my blog and had lots of new followers today!! I was quite shocked! So thank you kindly for the shout out, I really appreciate it and I can't wait to see what all you make with these quilt tops. =]

You are a sweetheart, my friend. Take care, stay warm and cozy~

  26. Wow, Karen!! What wonderful quilt tops that Angie sent you... what will you do with them? I especially love the one with all the triangles within a triangle, I should know the name of the pattern. Are they in good shape or are they cutter quilts? Will you have them quilted or do it yourself? What a wonderful gift...
The stoneware bowl with the blue interior and wire hanger, I have that exact same bowl. It was given to me by a very kind neighbor. Do you know anything about the history or age of it?
