I wonder what it’s all going to be???

I had such a great day today – the weather was beautiful
and the sun was shining….and my aches and pains have died down.

Today was ‘lunch day’ with my former co-workers…as I’ve mentioned before we get together at a restaurant or here about every 6-8 weeks and catch up on each others families, animals, trips and pains…yes, pains…we’re all about the same age so there’s lots to talk about.

And at lunch I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted a side salad or a grilled Chicken Salad – went back and forth in my mind and ended up ordering the Chicken Salad….so when the salad came I ate it. As well as the girls who ordered a meal and had soup…then – the waitress brought out the meals..and another salad for me!  WHAT????  I then realized that I did indeed order the Chicken Salad – lol

I told her I didn’t want it now – I had already eaten a salad…but she said it was her mistake and so I might as well eat it…yeah right…you bet it was her mistake! And so I tried to eat SOME MORE SALAD – but I started to feel very much on overload by that time so home it came with me.

Then this afternoon I got busy with preparations for some new
items but I’m not saying what they are but here’s a peek at
what i was up to all afternoon.

Towels 1
Towels in oven 1
Towels in oven
Flags
And then I tore some fabric to use on these….
Floursack Towels
So what do you think it’s all going to turn into…guess you’ll have to wait!
I’m just full of surprises and mystery this week aren’t I?

  1. HI Karen,

Sounds like you had a fun-filled "salad" day ;) That is neat that you catch up with your past co-workers every 6 - 8 weeks.

I honestly do not know what you are making, but looks perfect! I love Americana and it is just around the corner.

Love the staining too. Flags a must and ripped ties on them? Right up my alley.

Have fun with whatever you decide to do with them and can't wait to see what you end up making.

    Cheers,
    ~Tonya

  8. Not sure, but I sure love the colors. I wish I had clothes lines. My friends think I'm crazy! What do you want clothes lines for?? I could dry all my prim stained fabrics and besides I hate sending money to the utility company every month.

I can't wait to see your creations.

  10. One never knows about you girl. You could be making most anything from that scrumptious material. Sounds like you had a great lunch with your friends even if you did eat two salads! lol!

  11. Hi Karen,
Love American items, can't wait to see what are you working on... Really, I missed a lot my clothesline, I had some in PR and with the beautiful sun and higher temps there, I only need a couple of hrs, sometimes only one to have my stained fabrics completely ready. I missed that.

  25. I love anything to do w/Americana or flags, etc. so that is what I'm guessing you're making, ha. My whole living room is done in Americana and hope to be showing some pics of it soon.

That fabric looks so cute strung across your clothesline! Reminds me of Amish country.

Can't wait to see what it is!
