Wish I had some fun pictures to show you today but I'm not into anything creative at the moment.
I had lots of accomplishments already today but nothing really fun!

One thing I did was pack up some Amish Fiction books for a girl on one of the forums I'm on and got them shipped off. And she's sending me one that I need to finish the Trilogy. Now neither of us have to go in search of the book(s). It's such a great idea to share books you already read!!!

I have several series of Amish Fiction books that I would glady send to anyone that wants to read them....and there are many.

If anyone is interested in them I will gladly make a post with the list of what I have and the ones I STILL NEED and maybe you will have one or several and will share. Just let me know.

Then I got two orders packed and shipped as well and then Doug and I went for lunch and then to the grocery store and it's raining and no fun to be outside today so this afternoon it's laundry and answering e-mails.

I was asked by a forum I'm on if I could send a Penny Rug pattern for their Newsletter so I got that going for them.

I'm also trying to get an ad going for Mercantile Gathering I love that magazine. I thought a summer ad might be what it takes to keep the flow. Advertising at the Holiday time might just put me over the top for keeping up with the sewing so a Summer ad seemed right.

Wohoooo, as I was typing this post I got an e-mail from Country Sampler telling me they will be sending us 6 copies of the May issue that our home will be in! Yippppeeee. Now the waiting game will begin. I sure hope you will all like it - our home is more Traditional Colonial with not so many Primitives around. Not that I don't want them - just don't have the room!

Wondering if it's just me but I'm in a slump. I can't seem to get motivated these past few days. Seems there is no creativity or desire to do anything so I'm hoping it's just the weather. I do think I need some sun!!!!

Remember a couple posts ago with the Lego Birthday gift for Joeseph - well, they were here on Monday and he brought all three of his Power Miner Legos that he built. He wanted Grandpa to see them but Gramps was in Rhode Island.

  1. Hi Karen,
I was in a slump to this past week, then it just came back all by itself. LOL Maybe that's just the way we recharge our creativty?
I know I need some sun too I can't wait to see some green grass!
Hope it all comes back to you soon!

  2. OH I am anxioulsy waiting to see your colonial home in CS. I just know I will be drooling!!

  3. Thanks Linda and Rondell -
It's always so nice hearing from the two of you!
Well I sure hope I lose this feeling soon Rondell - it's really bugging me.
If you are anxious Linda...imagine me! lol

  4. Hi Karen,
I can't wait for my May issue of Country Sampler to come to see your home in it.
It's been gloomy and raining here for the last two days, but I can see where my Spring flowers are trying to peak out through the ground...So I know warmer days are coming.

  5. This is a hard time of year for me also. Spring, but not spring. I want to re do everything and anything, but just wander from room to looking at what I need to do, thinking about what I want to do, and end up doing nothing ...CABIN FEVER....maybe... But it sounds like you've been very busy doing lots of creative things.:-) Lewaina

  6. Karen,
I can't wait to see the May issue with your beautiful home. I hope your slump disappears soon. I think we all have them now & then.

  7. I can't wait to see your home either....and I'm sure you'll be fine soon.

    The kids are so cute!

  8. LOL, thanks girls.
I don't think I've ever been in this kind of slump....nothing appeals to me and I can't get motivated.
But I know it too shall pass just like every other phase in our lives. But it's sure nice to have supporters!
    Big hugs to all.

  9. Karen~
Please remind me again about the CS issue. I dont want to miss it! You need a big fat post when that comes out!:) I am soooo excited for you!

I saw a robin in a tree today, my Dad says as soons as they come sping is not far behind them. ..then why are we expecting 4-6 inches of snow tonight?

we NEED spring and sunshine~then think of how creative we all would be LOL!

  10. Karin, the slump is probably just those February blahs. When you see the sun and a little green popping up you will be a whole new person.

I can't wait for the CS to come out. I will pick up a copy for MIL, she used to subscribe until the macular degeneration. I will give it to her for Mothers Day with the coaster set I got for her. Hope she will be able to see it with her big light and magnifier. That will make a perfect gift for her.

  11. Hi Angie, thanks for visiting!!!
The issue is April/May and I think it's mailed out in March but YES, I'll sure post it you can count on it!
Glad you are anxious too - makes things all worth it when others share the experience.

  12. Doni, how sweet to give MOM the coasters along with a magazine. She'll be able to relate to who made them! lol

  13. Hi Karen what issue is your home featured in country sampler I don't want to miss it..

  14. I can't wait to see your home in CS! I love the colonial look and I think prim looks great with it.

It is raining here and bad weather. I am surprised we still have power, but glad that we do!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  15. Congrats on havin' your home in CS!!! that's AWESOME!!! I'll have to pick one up when it comes out. Please remind us when it does.
I think the weather has really put the kibosh on many of us as far as creatin' goes. Heck, this economy doesn't help either.
Hopefully nicer weather will brighten all our spirits. :> )

  16. Hi Karen-
    Love your new header pic!
I can not wait to get my CS...I am so looking forward to seeing your beautiful home in it!
I have been in a slump myself...seems like I have to MAKE myself get things done! I'm thinkin it's this crazy weather! Sure has been a long, hard winter, then we get teased with a few days of nice weather...get into that Happy it's almost "SPRING" mode, only to wake up to find more SNOW on the ground! :(

Have a wonderful weekend...tomorrow is MARCH I think this will be the END of our slumpiness, New Month, No more Slump!! Gotta think positive!! ;)

So glad you came to visit - feel free to leave a comment.
I will try and answer as many as I can - maybe not immediately but I will get to you!
