I'M HERE!

Good morning everyone...yes, I'm still here.

But I think you can all guess what I've been doing....NOPE, not the dining room...I've been sewing orders. Since the magazine article it hasn't slowed down so I haven't had a chance to get my fingers in the DR thing.

Yesterday Doug did a final coat on the trim where all the nail holes were and our son and grandson came over in the afternoon to bring all the cupboards/pie safes back in and I must say I'm loving it.


They put everything where it was before but it all took on such a different look with the wood floor.

I told Doug I just might keep the room very bare and minimal and keep an old Colonial look going.....but we have soooo many pretties that I love looking at....oh, what to do!
No the cloth doesn't belong on the table but we had something sitting on the table so it was under it and I didn't take it off.
And I still have the piddling kitty (not the one in the picture, although it's because of her that LOLA is doing it. It's a territory thing with her)....she only goes in the DR over by the tall cupboard - on either side....she knows what her litter box is for - she doesn't go anyplace but in that area now and then.
Not much to report today but wanted to let you all know I'm here and kicking! I do get on and read and comment on your blogs though - I have my little routine in the morning but needed to say HI to you all today!

    Can't wait to see your dining room completed and put back in order. I did want to say "CONGRATS" to you for all of the orders. That is WONDERFUL news for you and you are so blessed that orders keep coming in. YAY for you... I am happy for you.

    Glad to see you posting on your blog, hope you can work on your dining room when you have a chance and orders slow down. I guess that's what happens when word spreads and people love your work. Your furniture looks great in there with the wood! Thanks for my comments on my blog too.

    Oh I love how your dining room looks with the new floors! I know what you mean about keeping that minimal Colonial look, but wanting all the pretty things to look at too. I don't think I could handle the bare look for too long!:-)That's so great that you are still getting so many orders~ I can understand why! You know I love your work!     Really happy for you that you are bombarded with orders but maybe with summer about here it will slow down so that you can enjoy it:)

    Karen ..congrats on having lots of orders ..that's whats supposed to happen when an article comes out so Good for you.

    Your DR is coming along beautifully I bet you are so excited ..I love the colonial look but I would defintely end up messing it up because I have too many things I love and could never go minimal ..I think it's fabulous for those who can !!

    Take a look at that diningoom!!! Isn't it beautiful? OMGosh, I love it. The new floor does make your furniture stand out in a whole differnt way. Very nice.

    The floor looks wonderful. Isn't it amazing how it changes everything??!!! Glad you still have your kitty. I have been thinking of you and her. I hope you get things worked out.     The room looks wonderful Karen! When I cleaned last week I removed a lot of stuff that was cute and prim but not as Colonial. I am loving the cleaner look for the summer at least.

    I am still hearing from people from all over the country since CS came out - it is amazing! I am so glad it helped your business!!

    What a beautiful floor! Sorry about the kitty...I love having all of my treasures out and around where I can see them and enjoy them, but I do know what you mean about less things....quandary huh! My things always seem to win over the bare look! Lol ♥

    I love the room! It is perfect! And congratulations on your orders! That will keep you busy! AND, I love the Penny Rug that you did with the pennies.....as you can see, I have been busy playing catch-up! I have also put fingerholes in my Country Sampler as I ooohhh and ahhhh over your home! Going to have to get a new one, and keep my fingers and drooling off of it! Jan
