RE-ARRANGED

I know, I just posted about this room already, but today I went in and switched out the two cupboards you see on the left wall and put the accessories in different places - now I like it and it's going to stay!
Do you have any idea how easy it is to move these large pieces around on that floor especially with the felt pads on the bottom....I can do it myself now and don't even need to empty them out to do it! Power!!!

I also put up some of my Salt Glaze Pottery - I kept it to just the larger crocks on the front wall and the pitchers on the side wall and it's not as crowded and junky looking...it's going to stay this way as well!

So this is all I'm going to post about this room....it has been over thought, over posted and I'm calling it quits - on to something else now.....see ya!!!

  1. Hi Karen, LOVE the room!! And I love those curtains, too. I wanted to leave you a comment about them earlier, but so many had already been there I was afraid you wouldn't see it, lol. I'm like you, fix it one way and then change it until I get "the way" I want it.
    Have a Great weekend!

  16. Karen, it all looks beautiful. Looks like a pretty good size room. We just recently put wood floors in the rest of our home too. I wanted them in the kitchen too but I didn't win that battle. Oh well!

  25. Karen, just saw your comment from a couple days ago. Sorry. The Heritage is in Ft. Wayne on Tuesday and in Medina, OH on Thursday. I've never been to the one in Medina, but Ft. Wayne isn't bad (not quite as good as Columbus). I'm TRYING to arrange things to go on Tuesday, should know later today. By the way, LOVE your new header picture! Dawn

  28. Karen,
I love what you've done to the room. I still LOVE the color you painted your trim and windows. I wonder if it would be too much if I did that along with my wainscoting. Let me know what you think. I love your decorating abilities (of which I sorely lack!) Ugh!
    Hugs,
    Teri

  29. TERRI...this is the only way I could let you know....there's no e-mail for you or a blog.....no it wouldn't be too much.
Not sure how your computer screen is showing it but the actual color is like a combination green and gray.

we bought it at the TRUE VALUE HARDWARE STORE
    It's called:
EASYCARE INTERIOR PAINT....we bought the EGGSHELL finish for both the walls and the trim.

Walls: Antique White with 3 squirts of yellow put in to tone down the brightness of the white

    Trim: Paladin

You can buy them already mixed by the name of the color.

    Hope this helps.

  30. Karen, it is PERFECT! I love how the room looks! I hear you about tweaking. . .after awhile you sometimes end up right where you started. I know for myself I have other things to do beside moving things around all the time. I like to change things up for the seasons or maybe move a chair from one area of a room to another, small things, but once things are where I am happy with them, well they stay.
Again, your room is PERFECT, looks so pretty!

  31. Karen....it's just beautiful! Simple....Classy...Perfectly Colonial! It's wonderful! Well worth all of the effort and waiting! Now sit back and enjoy it! I bet it is even more beautiful at night with just some small lights on...I love the look of a soft glow in a room! Those red geraniums are THE perfect touch!! Take care. ~Sarah~

LOL How about pretty please don't stop? We LOVE your home and seeing it over and over - like Jen said, all different angles too! Just wonderful!

PS I have had some blogging friends say they can't find shops in WI. I wonder if you could post about any you know sometime - and of course, put your business at the top of the list. I'd love to link to it if you do that (when and if you have time - I know it is time consuming)
