Hi Karen, I wanted to know about those too! I was going to search under primitive crafts, tin candle sleeves and go from there. If I find them, I'll let you know. I'm doing a little different project with them, can't wait to see your's all finished! Have a great weekend, Dawn
ReplyDeleteI have never seen them sold anywhere but I'll ask around!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn and Linda...we even went to our local heating co.'s and they can't/don't/won't do them.

Hi Karen, I just emailed pictures to your email address. This is my husbands' solution to the same problem. He made candle holders and we could not find the inserts either. Hope it helps, Karen

Hi, I was going was going to suguest that you might try to go to hardware store or home-depo,lowes etc and maybe try to purchase metal tubing that size or near that size. They have some silver which can be blacken with spray paint and then when you drill the hole you can make your own. Hope this helps. I don't have a blogger account but seen your blog and hoped I could help. lighthouseab@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteDon't know if this would help at all but I can get what is called a black candle cup ... 1 1/2" High 1 1/4" Top Diameter 1 3/8" Bottom Diameter. I can send you pics if you are interested ... email me. countrystoreatyourdoor@yahoo.com Bobbie
ReplyDeleteKaren, I've been scouring the web for you and couldn't really find anything. This is the closest I could find, but it's not exactly what you're looking for: http://www.nationalartcraft.com/subcategory.asp?gid=5&cid=109&scid=239. Otherwise, the idea of searching around a hardware store in the pipe fittings would be an excellent place to look.
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteIncase you are unable to find what you are looking for...I have a candle shelf that has a rusty tin square nailed to the shelf with a hole drilled through it & into the wood to hold a candle...looks so prim too. Just a thought. Good luck with your search in the meantime.
I don't know where to find them but I am having aboout the same dilemma with an item we are creating. Would be greatful if you would post your findings.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your candle holder. Sorry can't help you out though.

I don't have a clue, but I sure hope that someone else does! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it would be so easy to make some out of tin flashing.
