BLOG LAYOUTS and more….

Yesterday I was looking for a holiday layout and came across:   http://www.scrappinblogs.blogspot.com/

Go check out their gorgeous selection for ALL OCCASIONS....I'm so happy I found it.

After the holidays I'll go back to my newly created Pierced Tin one but this is fun!

Sometime today we're going to bake cookies - I have the dough made and setting up in the refrigerator. We were supposed to cut them out yesterday but decided to head to Janesville to finish up Christmas shopping but we still have one person to buy for. Our 16 year old granddaughter, Alex, is bringing her boyfriend here for Christmas and so it's off to buy for him and so we needed to get a list to go by. I guess that's what we'll do tomorrow.

It snowed very early this morning and is continuing so we have a fresh covering which makes one get more in the mood for Christmas – at least it does for me – it will make cutting out cookies a bit more festive as well.

Also, later today I’m going to scan old pictures of our Christmas trees from years past…oh how they have evolved!  I went through all the years of photos and got a few at least. It was a blast from the past and looking at the three boys so young brought back so many memories, to say nothing of how sad to see me so skinny! Oh how I wish!!!!

So be checking much later today for old photos of my trees!

Have a great day.

  1. Good morning Karen.........sounds like a fun day ahead for you.
Last year I scanned some old photos of my girls when they were young at Christmas time and framed them and then gave the photos to them to display. They loved it, most of the photos were ones that they hadn't seen for a long time.
I had found some cute frames that said "Sisters" to use.
Have a very Merry Christmas at your house.

  2. The background is adorable Karen, I'll be checking back to see your trees:)

  3. How fun! Looking at old Christmas photos really brings back so many memories. And some are very comical! The ones from my childhood are hilarious!
Sounds like a nice day planned. Have fun with the cookie baking and shopping.
Christmas Blessings to you & your's!

  4. Karen, what a cute background you have made. I like the punched tin one too. I will have to go see what else is on that site for the New Year. Can't wait to see your past Christmas trees. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  5. I love changing my blog templates with the seasons too! Enjoy your fun day!

    Merry Christmas!

  6. Have fun shopping, it does make much more festive when it's snowing. Looking forward to seeing your pics of christmas's past.

  7. Hi Karen, we are off to make treats for all or our furry kids...LOL. The girls and I will be making homemade treats for all the dogs in our families. Something extra and fun to do. It is also snowing here, in which they are calling for a bad storm for later on today. As long as we get it now so we are able to get out and about for Christmas.

Thanks for the heads up on the blogging pages. I must run over and check it out later.

Merry Christmas to you and your family :) Have fun with everyone...

  8. Hi Karen, I love the blog layout! Looks great!!

Wishin you and your family a very Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

  9. I know! Aren't their graphics great? I have one of their layouts on my blog.

  10. Karen,it was fun to see how your Christmas trees changed over the years. I was married in 1970 and my first tree was 4 ft. decorated with all green and gold ball ornaments and sat on a round table with a gold felt skirt trimmed with ball fringe. And we thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world.

    Merry Christmas from Texas
