Okay, I finally made my own background...it's okay but can't find a nice solid to go with it.
White was too white and this 'gray' is too dirty looking...I'll play with it some other time...this whole thing took me all night!
Thanks to those who e-mailed me and posted here to help me.

Hi Karen. If you go to "Life in the Craft Lane With Mandie" blog, she has a free punched tin background. Go to the background category on the right side and scroll through the older posts until you find the post for Sunday, January 27,2008. Hope you find it. Have a very Merry Christmas with your family. Congratulations on such a successful home show. Take care!
ReplyDeleteyou must be working on your blog as I look. I can't read your posts as they blend in with your background.
ReplyDeleteKaren I can't read it.....change it back....please!! xxxRobby

I'm having a devil of a time getting my POST SECTION AND SIDE BAR to be in a solid colored area so it will show up on the pierced tin background.
ReplyDeleteOn Mandie's blog it says to put the background color # in place of what is there to achieve a solid area for the posts so you can read the type - here's what my html looks like:
/* Outer-Wrapper
----------------------------------------------- */
#outer-wrapper {
width: 860px;
margin:0 auto;
padding:10px;
text-align:$startSide;
font: $bodyfont;
}
AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE IS NO BACKGROUND # place so I don't know what to do....I've tried every way possible to get it...
ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO?
Karen
If you need to adjust your colors ..you can do so by going to layout ..then clicking in the upper left corner ..fonts and colors ..and there is a place to change your colors for title ..sidebar,links ..etc.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps ...Merry Christmas ..
Sara
Just got help from Mandie...I know how to do all the fonts, colors, etc, but had a problem with the POST BOX.
ReplyDeleteSo if it looks crazy for a bit it's cuz I'm working with numbers to get it to come out right.
