Oh Spring - hurry on up!!!

I sure wish the nice weather would just get here and STAY!!!
We get a nice day then a really cold day. I hope that's not how Spring and Summer will actually be this year.

I did see my Daffodils and Tulips have sprung up though - that's only one of the peeks of Spring so far, except for the sweet sound of birds - I love hearing them....and speaking of birds,
my husband made a fantastic birdhouse over the winter - it turned out beautiful.
He put it out on a post we got from an Amish farmer 2 weeks ago when we were in Lancaster, PA.  It's a water pump post and still has some of the metal attachments on it.  We wanted a white turned post which we bought as well but I like the red one.
Now I'm thinking the birdhouse needs to be painted a different color.
It is going to take many years for the copper to age.  I think he did a wonderful job!!!

Last Tuesday was the second part of my Punch Needle class here and they finished up their projects.
I think they did a wonderful job.
Four of the ladies couldn't make it so they will come at another date to finish up.

We had a little luncheon with the class and I found the sweetest paper products at the $$ store.
Very Springy - I loved the little bees on them!
They had little cups I thought would be great for the fruit salad,
I put their napkins in the cups for ease of picking up to carry

And then this past Saturday I started another class with 3 ladies.
They had fun learning and we'll have the second part at a later date.

My big excitement though for the week was a book signing at our library with
BEVERLY LEWIS my all time favorite Amish Fiction author.
She was just as sweet and soft spoken as her picture - and very gracious.
Most of her books are set in the Lancaster, PA Amish country side.
She was born in Lancaster and her maternal grandparents were Mennonite.

Well, that's about it for this time around....
Except to say I have been making my gourd carrots again this year.
I have 9 sets still available if you want any just email me.
They are 3/$14 plus shipping

Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks for stopping by!

WHAT A GREAT DAY!

My first teaching class for PUNCH NEEDLE was a huge success.
We had lots of laughs and soooo many different conversations going - most at the same time 😊 but for some strange reason we all knew what was going on...could it be we are 'women' and can multi-task...I think so!!!

There were 10 ladies in a range of ages and we all got along so good.
I think they learned something and in 4 weeks will return for the second part of the lesson and hopefully they will have a good start on their project.

I had a baked potato bar set up for lunch along with cookies and a fruit cup. We ate well and then got back to work.  Next class everyone is going to bring something for a potluck lunch - this sounds exciting wondering what we'll be eating!!

Just a few pictures of the day - unfortunately we didn't get a group picture like I wanted - I couldn't get everyone together long enough to stand still...they were touring the house and chatting lol

I'm still making Penny Flowers
You can email me if interested
There are 8 per pk. for $16

The eggs you can find on my website under the

TOO MANY GOOGLE / BLOGGER CHANGES

Wow, Blogger sure is changing and not for the better,
or maybe I should say Google is making the changes.
Seems we may lose our 'followers' and comments and some of the sidebar widgets.
This happens the first of March!!!

Not sure what this is going to do to our blogs but I will not stop posting regardless.
I don't post that often but I do like to get on and visit you all
and enjoy peeking into what is happening in your world.

I have been busy making new punch needle and patterns and
getting ready for my upcoming Punch Needle class.
There are 10 wonderful and anxious ladies signed up and I'm so excited to be doing this for them.
I also made up fabric bags for each of them that will hold all their supplies.
I hope they like them! (picture shows them not finished)

This is the pattern they will all be working on - nice and easy for beginners

I'm also in the process of making EGGS again
So if interested go to my selling site to see details
This year I added FARMHOUSE (light gray w/white designs ) and PASTELS

I know this isn't anything special to read about but there isn't much happening in
my little world being the weather was so horrible there for a week - snow, sleet,
lots of ice, -24 below zero temps with -55 below wind chill.
All in a weeks time!!!
Glad to day it is sunny and mild(er)

Blessings to all who read this!!
